| Zhongyi FRP Co., Ltd. |
Zhongyi was first established in 1986, and was the first company in China to produce filament wound pipe and large fiberglass vessels on an industrial scale. The initial computerized winding systems were purchased from Vetrosresina in Italy and the company now has 29 production lines of fully automatic pipe winding machines located in four plants throughout eastern China (see map). Zhongyi has grown to the point that it is now producing 60,000 tons of fiberglass tanks, piping, process equipment, and custom fabricated parts a year with 1,100 employees.
In the Shijiazhuang and the Guangzhou facilities, Zhongyi also has numerous filament winders capable of winding up to 15 meter diameter vessels. These winders are regularly shipped to job sites around the world where they are set up to provide on site winding and assembly of large diameter vessels. Each facility also has the capability of producing hand lay up and chopper gun assisted fabrication.
